Best time to visit:

It is not appropriate to visit Lataguri during the month of monsoon season which is from 15th June to 15th September as it rains heavily during this time. During December to February is the winter season which is the best time to visit as the weather remains pleasant and has less humidity.

How to reach:

By Flight: Bagdogra Airport is the nearest airport from Lataguri. You can hire a car to reach Lataguri which is located at a distance of 69 kilometers and it takes 1 hour and 53 minutes to reach Lataguri. By Car: Siliguri is the nearest place located at a distance of 67 kilometers from Lataguri. Hiring a car from the junction will help you in reaching Lataguri within a time of 1 hour and 49 minutes approximately. By Train: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 52 kilometers from Lataguri. There are many hired cars available to reach Murti resort Lataguri within a time of 1 hour and 31 minutes.  

Places to visit in and around Lataguri:

Lataguri is a famous place to visit while being at Dooars but there are many other attractions to amaze on your vacation to this small hamlet.  

1-Gorumara National Park:

 This national park is located at a distance of 15 kilometers from Lataguri and is a perfect place for hanging out with your family and friends. It is situated on the banks of River Jaldhaka and Murti River in North Bengal. This park spreads over an area of 80 kilometers and is a place filled with wild flora and fauna.

2-Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary:

 It is a significant tourist attraction in Lataguri which is located at a distance of 20 kilometers from the Gorumara National Park. It has many wild species of flora and fauna. It also gives you the opportunity of spotting many wildlife species. You can also enjoy the view of the Eastern Himalayas and the famous Kanchenjunga Mountains.  

3-Jayanti Mahakal Caves:

4-Buxa Tiger Reserve:

5-Jaldhaka:

The river has its origination from the Kupup Lake which partly flows through Bhutan and Bengal. This forest village has a “Nature Interpretation Center” where you can get enormous information about the species of wild flora and fauna. You can also witness cultural programs in this center during the evening time. You can take morning or afternoon walks along the forest trails which are one of the primary forest activities loved by every nature lover.
