The Bewitching Beauty of Chilapata!!

It is the part of Jaldapara National Park and the two have been divided by river Torsa. Jaldapara is to the west of Torsa while Chilapata is to the east, and in between the river flows. Isn’t Amazing? Yeah! It is and will surely blow your mind!

How to reach Chilapata?

Chilapata Forest is accessible through road, rail, and air- By air- Firstly, you have to come to Bagdogra Airport. And, from there you can hire a taxi to take you to Chilapata. Distance from Bagdogra to Chilapata- 138 km By rail- The easiest way to board a train up to Alipurduar station from where it is only an hour’s drive to Chilapata Wildlife Sanctuary. Distance from Alipurduar to Chilapata- 30 km Moreover, you can also choose National Highway 31 to reach Chilapata if you are driving your car.
