Bindu

Bindu located 57km from Chalsa is a quaint village in Dooars. At an altitude of 600m or about 2000 feet, on the India-Bhutan border, Bindu is one of the famous offbeat destinations of Dooars. This quaint hamlet of Bindu is famous for its cardamom plantation in North Bengal and Dooars region. Situated on the Jhalong Bindu Road, Bindu is also the last village of West Bengal region.

Chalsa

Chalsa is a very small town in Dooars region mostly known as the "Queen of Dooars" and one of the most visually attractive destinations of West Bengal. Chalsa is located at an average elevation of 163 meters (535 feet). It is the headquarters of the Matiali community development block under the Malbazar subdivision of the Jalpaiguri district. Chalsa was mostly known for the weekly market at Mangalbari Hat and as a stopover for buses heading towards Dooars. But with its scenic beauty it has gained attention as a famous picnic spot in Dooars. Chalsa is also a tea plantation area and known for its drives. Surrounded by Gorumara National Park and Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary dense forests, wildlife animals, various birds and also the hills are the main attraction in Chalsa. Jaldapara National Park and Buxa Tiger Reserve are also nearby Chalsa. So, this region is rich with various wild animals. A variety of floras and orchids are also available in Chalsa.

Jhallong

A location with comparitively higher altitude. River Jhallong flows through the valley and forest department offers an exemplary luxurious tented accomodation on the banks of river Jhallong. Rocky Island

Rocky Island is a new tourist destination in Dooars. Situated on the banks of the River Murti it is about 2 km from Samsing and is a popular camping site. Suntalekhola

Suntalekhola also spelt as Suntaley Khola or Suntaleykhola is a famous offbeat destination of Dooars and North Bengal Region. With an altitude ranging between 650 to 950mt Suntalekhola derived its name from the native language where the word "Suntaley" stands for "Orange" and "Khola" for “Stream”. Sited on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas Suntalekhola is a scenically blessed village. It is located 5km from Samsing.

Suntalekhola with its astounding location is an ideal place for an overnight stay in Dooars. A trek from Samsing to Suntalekhola with scenic green nature, flow of mountain streams will bring you very close to nature and refresh your mind and soul.
